Groove Kitchen is a space for people who move through music. Built for DJs, music lovers and creators united by connection and intention. Rooted in Afro and culturally driven electronic music, Groove Kitchen exists to carry sound forward while keeping community alive.
Our Work
Groove Kitchen hosts regular listening sessions where artists share their music and creative ideas. These sessions are not about performance or pressure, but about listening with intention. People come together to understand the music, the stories behind it and the culture it comes from. The focus is on exchange, learning and connection within the community. Selected sessions will be available to watch on YouTube.
The studio is also available for rent. It can be used for DJ practice, collaborations, listening sessions and other creative projects.
Who we are

We are Kaeella and DJY 80, also known as @thegroovyroomdjz, a DJ Couple from Basel, Switzerland. Our connection as a couple shapes everything we do, in music and in life. Our sound draws from the club culture of South Africa. It is deep, soulful and built on groove.
Groove Kitchen grew naturally from this journey. We wanted to create a place where that same energy could live beyond the dancefloor, a home for DJs, artists and listeners who believe in movement, community and self-expression. Our purpose is to keep the culture alive, to share what we love and to give others the freedom to create.
