Groove Kitchen is a DJ studio and creative platform based in Basel, Switzerland.
Built around studio sessions, recorded performances and curated formats, Groove Kitchen provides a space where DJs, artists and cultural projects can create, record and share their work.
Rooted in Afro-inspired and culturally influenced electronic music, Groove Kitchen combines studio production, artist development and creative collaboration. Through recorded sessions, original content and live experiences, the platform helps artists build visibility and connect with new audiences.
Our format
At the core of Groove Kitchen are curated DJ sessions recorded in our studio in Basel. Selected DJs perform in a focused studio environment where sessions are captured as high-quality audio and video content, giving artists a professional platform to showcase their sound.
Beyond the studio, Groove Kitchen expands through events, listening sessions and creative collaborations. Each format contributes to the same vision: creating meaningful experiences through music, content and culture.
Studio rental
The studio is also available for rent and can be used for DJ practice, recording or content production. Book here
Who we are

We are Kaeella and DJY 80, also known as @thegroovyroomdjz, a DJ Couple from Basel, Switzerland.
Our connection as a couple shapes everything we do, in music and in life. Our sound draws from the club culture of South Africa. It is deep, soulful and built on groove.
Through our work as DJs and creators, we founded Groove Kitchen. The goal was to create a place where the same energy could live beyond the dancefloor. A home for DJs, artists and listeners who believe in movement, community and self-expression.
Today, Groove Kitchen connects DJ sessions, studio recordings and events. Our purpose is to keep the culture alive, to share what we love and to give others the freedom to create.
